I'm Back after a time of trial!

Seems kind of strange that It's been so long since I have posted to this blog! I was excited to start it back in 2007. Excited to tell the world all about my newest arrival...my perfect little ray of sunshine. Almost 2 years later, and life changing several times in huge ways both good and bad...my grandboy is still the most perfect thing in my world!

So where have I been?

Well that is a long long story and I'd love to take you through it. From foster care to me trying to be what they call a cougar...have I got stories for you! I must however prioritize. I will explain the times endeavors as life lessons! Whether it be a lesson for me, my children, or maybe even you, I will do my best to keep it straight forward as it goes. |I will both sadden and entertain you with my story. I may even disgust you with it, but all in good faith and even better living life experience! Still |I build my character through the walk called life!

Stay tuned...

The Miracle of Life

Me...32 year old, mother of three, now a young and new grandmother! It is truely amazing what the miracle of birth and new life can do for your heart. I never would have thought that I could have loved like this before. Sure, I love my own children without a doubt. But now...at this stage in my life, the new reality says, "Vicki, you are a gramma." Amazing! Truely amazing and I am so fully and whole heartedly in love that it is indescribible. The following videos were clips I took behind the scenes in the operating room while I tried to comfort my 15 yr old daughter during a necessary c-section on September 26th, 2007 at 10:51 pm. Please hear our little boy Dustin James' first breath and first cry into our big world!

Notice the initial breath in a squeal? It was so scary to hear that at first but then came his amazing cry! Angel (mommy) was relieved that she had him. She was tired of being pregnant!

This next video is the very first picture taken of him. Notice his skin colr! He was born at 10:51 but we had to wait until after 3:30 to hold him because of some breathing episodes he had. Thank God is is alright!

Would you believe he had a strong grip of his own umbilical cord which was bringing his heart rate down? Thats what the doctor told us! He does have a pretty strong grip:)
